Local Elections Matter More To You Than National Elections
We should care about national governance. Choosing a president is important for the country. However, the choice of sheriff matters a whole lot more to your day-to-day life than the President ever will.

All Others Need Not Apply: God Has a Standard for Pastors and It’s Not Just for Show
I will be posting a lengthy series here that I hope you’ll read. The intention is to convince you that the standard is real and that, as faithful Christians, we should follow God’s Word and only call qualified people into ministry.

The Lord’s Prayer
One thing that I often run into as a pastor is Christians asking the same question the disciples asked Jesus, “Teach us to pray.” And so, I have often taken the time to teach the Lord’s Prayer in student ministry and now as a pastor. Therefore, I thought it would be beneficial to put this…

Pastoral Ministry And AI
Artificial Intelligence has grown more and more capable over the past few years. That fact cannot be denied. And I do believe that it’s going to help us to do a lot of things in the future. But I am a pastor, and as such, I have certain misgivings about AI and its role in…

Dealing With The Problem Often Looks Like Causing The Problem: A Lesson From Paul, Hezekiah, and Minnesota

The Blatant Deception of the New World Translation (The Jehovah’s Witness Bible)
I believe that the Governing Body of the Jehovah’s Witnesses is a Satanic group that binds people in darkness and drags them to Hell through purposeful and sinful deception. Their own resources prove that they know they are wrong. There is no other explanation for the differences seen in their interlinear text.

Marriage is for Building
Recently my wife and I celebrated 18 years of marriage together. And I’ve been thinking a lot about it. We didn’t really get much of a chance to celebrate per se. I was 2.5 weeks post knee replacement and we were both sick. But that’s okay. We’ll go eat somewhere later and reminisce another time.…

Jesus Wasn’t an Immigrant
You’ve heard it. “Jesus was an immigrant.” And then a rant would ensue that discussed Jesus’s parents taking Him to Egypt for His safety. And there are probably a dozen other ways that I have seen this phrased. Have you ever heard something so stupid that you just can’t figure out how to respond to…
