I saw a clip of AOC online doing some of her emphatic, crazy talk. I try to listen, but it’s like attempting to make sense of a chicken truck that just turned over on the highway. There’s just so many strange birds jumping around that nothing makes sense. Feathers and feces falling faintly far and near. It’s just chaos. Alliterated chaos, but chaos nonetheless. Or maybe, I’m too misogynistic to hear it. I don’t know, but anyway.
I ran across a clip of AOC in which she said that conservatives were radicalizing young men through their incredible online presence. She said a lot of other things that didn’t make sense. I’ll let you sort that out. But as a conservative, I’m not tech savvy enough to figure out how to put that clip on this post, so I’ll just link to her saying it and hope for the best.
As unintelligible as her argument was, I do appreciate that it made me think about something that is incredibly important. And that is “young men”.
Today’s Radicals

What AOC calls a radical man is a man who wants to lead, provide, and protect his family. Her idea of a radicalized man is a man who never would ever say he was going out to get a jug of milk and not return home. More than that, he wants to raise his children in the fear and admonition of the Lord as God commands.
I’m all in. And I’m not kidding. Let’s gather up these guys and radicalize them as much as possible.
Young Men Are Strong
In some churches that I was a part of early on, young men were looked at as a danger. They were something that, given enough time, could be tamed and become useful. I appreciate the sentiment in some regard, because young men are dangerous. But they are dangerous because they are strong. And they are not to be sat on the sidelines until their bones ache a little more.
In the Book of 1 John, there is a section that I have always found fascinating. John is writing to different people within the congregation. And he sorts them out by what is generally characteristic about them.
12 I am writing to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven for his name’s sake. 13 I am writing to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I write to you, children, because you know the Father. 14 I write to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one. (1John 2:12-14 ESV]
Notice what John says about the young men. First, we read that they have “overcome the evil one” (1 John 2:13). Then in the next verse he returns to the young men and says, “because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one” (1 John 2:14).
AOC’s egalitarian view of the world is not reality. And it’s not what we read about people in Scripture. Everyone is not the same. And young men are not supposed to pretend that they are something that they are not.
Young men are strong. And until about 5 minutes ago, we all understood this.
It has been young men that have gone to war. It is overwhelmingly young men that risk their lives on battlefields. It is young men that make up most of the back breaking workforce. It is young men that climb roofs and build fences. Young men are strong, and we know that this is the case.
But it’s not just that young men are strong physically. There is a mental strength that is there as well. It is young men that risk their lives for our freedoms. And what I mean by that, is that it is overwhelmingly young men with the strength to do such a thing. Young men take risks that old men are not normally willing to take.
Young men are strong.
And we have typically seen this in risky Christian endeavors as well. It is often young men and often their families that are taking the gospel to other countries as missionaries. I have gone to these church planting events put on by the SBC and do you know who is leading these church plants? It is young men.
Young men are strong. They are strong physically. And there is a fortitude that they often have that other people do not. It allows them to do wonderful and amazing things. That is, if we can radicalize them.
Young men also make up the majority of prison populations. Because they are strong, they can also ruin an entire society if they run rampant.
It’s important that we radicalize them and do so now. Otherwise, the strong barbarians will burn down every city in America. It’s really quite simple. Young men are strong. And they will be strong for good or they will be strong for evil.
You can’t do what AOC would like to do and make them weak. Young men are strong. Therefore, they will be a force to be reckoned with one way or another.
Make It A Goal To Radicalize These Young Men
I desire to see young men succeed. I desire for them to come to faith in Christ and be warriors for His cause. I desire for them to get married, have healthy marriages, raise God-fearing children, and be faithful to their Lord. I want to see them take chances for the furtherance of God’s Kingdom. I want to see them use that strength in the best way possible.
But this won’t just happen. Pastors and other churchmen need to point these men in the right direction. There are dragons to be fought in our day. And these men need to be shown the way.
So make the radicalization of young men a priority. Equip them to do battle with the powers of this age. Equip them to build a family. Equip them to be men of God that will war with the forces of evil in this dark age. Equip them to carry the light of the gospel to heir family and friends.
Equip them to be the radicals that these worldly powers fear.
