Two news stories of massive proportions are in the news simultaneously. And it’s almost jarring. The Epstein Files and the origins of Russiagate are both being heatedly discussed right now. People seem to be calling on Americans to focus on one or the other, but both are important. And from where I sit, both need to be dealt with harshly.
Who Runs The Show?
Both of these situations help us see how our country operates. And it’s bad….very bad!
Jeffrey Epstein seems to have had friends in every part of our country’s governance. He also cozied up to folks all over the science community. And it seems like, at least with some, he gained access and possibly dirt to control them with sex trafficking of underage girls. It’s disgusting. And we don’t know whether or not he was an asset to America, Israel, or possibly other countries as well. His tentacles are all over the place.
What if some of the decisions made in America were made because of blackmail made possible by Jeffrey Epstein? What if these things are happening somewhere else now? What if there are more girls being harmed right now while we puddle around?
President Obama was apparently given information that he didn’t like. So he sent people away to manufacture intelligence that made it look like Russia was as involved in Trump’s election in 2016.
This plagued the first few years of Trump’s presidency and is possibly had impacts upon the 2020 election. If Obama did this, it is treasonous, criminal, and is akin to Watergate.
Remember, Watergate was Nixon’s people attempting to steal documents from the Democratic National Convention that could sabotage the election. This is directing intel agencies to make up stories about the incoming president that will hamper his presidency. It seems to me that sabotaging an incoming president is even worse than cheating to get elected. If this is true, then it’s worse than Watergate.
Both of these stories are about lies and deception. Both of them speak to the corrupt nature of our leaders. Both tell us a little about how our country is governed and the type of control people use on our population. And both behaviors need to be stopped dead in their tracks.
Heads On A Pike
Different societies would place the severed heads of enemies or the guilty upon a pike as a means of deterrence and intimidation. I don’t think people need to be beheaded, but I do want justice to be done. I want everyone to see it. And I want people to be so publicly shamed that their names become a byword that is remembered for the next 100 years.
A severed head on a pole is a massive deterrence. And so is seeing the powerful headed to jail in an orange jumpsuits.
If we want to eliminate this sort of behavior, then we’re gonna need to see those jumpsuits. You don’t do these things. And everyone should see that. We would benefit from seeing a lot of people perp walked and the images plastered all over the place.
Be Concerned About Both Stories
Here is where I worry for our country. Depending on the place you get your news, one of these stories will be covered and not the other. This means that a lot of Americans only care about one of these stories.
But both are massive. Both are about lies and deception that have deeply affected our country. One of these stories is about sex-trafficking and blackmail, if you don’t care about that then you have major problems. One of these stories is pure lies, slander, and treason against our country. If you don’t care about that, then you have major problems.
What Kind Of Society Do We Live In?
The fact that people are choosing to ignore either of these stories says a lot about their allegiances.
Who ignores the rape of any woman, let alone under age girls?
Who ignores sex trafficking?
Who allows a sitting president to sabotage the work of the incoming president?
It says a lot about the society we live in.
What Do We Do?
As a Christian, I understand that this is a fallen world and that powerful and wicked people are going to do powerful and wicked things. I do get that.
But I also understand that I have a say in our government. I don’t live in a monarchy. I live in a representative republic. And because of that I have an obligation to vote for people that will ensure justice is done.
What is the role of government?
“Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer. Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God’s wrath but also for the sake of conscience. For because of this you also pay taxes, for the authorities are ministers of God, attending to this very thing. Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed.”
Romans 13:1-7 ESV
Governing officials, we are here told, are God’s servants to bring wrath upon the wrongdoer and reward good behavior. That is the least we should expect from those we vote for.
If officials that I vote for don’t care about these things, then they should not get my vote. And I should let them know that they won’t get my vote. If they do it anyway, then I need to work to get someone else elected. I need to, at the least, vote for someone else.
Don’t let your allegiance to one side cloud your judgment! Justice matters.
