Vivid language from the late R.C. Sproul.
No one can come to Christ without having some knowledge of who God is. But after one comes to Christ, the issue is whether knowledge grows or stays puny and vague. Unfortunately, a flea could wade in the depth of knowledge about God in the mind of the average Christian. Thist is too shallow a level for a meaningful, growing relationship. There is a famine in the knowledge of God in general and the knowledge of God the Fathe rin particular. – R.C. Sproul, What We Believe, p. 28, 2015
